the new house / mint painted built-ins in the twins room

Progress! In the twins room in the new house, I knew I wanted to highlight all the fun character the room has,  shiplap on two walls, big built-ins, and a loft. (see more before pictures here)

Before

I played around with painting everything, walls, trim and built-ins the same color like this Martha Stewart room.

I love this but couldn't find a pink I was crazy about and felt like I was forcing it, and then I found this image and the clouds parted and the birds started singing.

Mint built-ins and trim, YES PLEASE.

And then this from the animal print shop really cemented the idea. 

I painted the walls a soft white and used a fun mint on the built-ins and baseboard. I may end up painting the windows but I am going to do drapes and all that before I decide. So far though, major heart eyes.
