DIY table skirt (no sew)
I don’t know how to sew so I’ve gotten pretty creative with
hem tape. There isn't anything I can’t add some hem tape to.
If you remember, I had these worlds away mirrored tables in my master but I moved them to my den so I needed a new bedside table and my old
Ikea white laminate ones weren’t cutting it so what else I decided to make a table skirt out of extra burlap I had
and I added some gorgeous orange Schumacher
trim Nan found.
Here's how I do it:
(NOTE: This is for a square table) I make two pieces of finished
(hem tape around edges here) rectangular pieces that equal the front,
top and back measurements and overlap them (one for the front and back and one
for the sides). Then I make four not
finished pieces that are a few inches taller then the height of the table that will cover your
corners. see below (I glue the corner pieces on the top of the piece and let them hang)
I can't believe I'm letting you see my nightstand. hello friends addiction. And just because greek key makes everything better, I trimmed out the front and I didn't measure, I just eyeballed it.
Just call me the hem tape master.
